BMW M5 – Horsepower Competition

Unbelievably as it may sound, the car in question can be seen as the initiator of the technological horsepower war in Germany which later spread to other European countries. Equipped with a V8 engine capable of delivering a horsepower of 400, the used BMW M5 had set the new standard. However, a host of imitators soon emerged in the market with even more power. Still, not everyone looks at power only. And this turned out to be the key for the used BMW M5’s success. The interior of the car was quite a surprise also especially for the time in which it was introduced. Both the driver and passengers could enjoy a wide range of entertainment options such as a Mini Disk system, a voice-controlled telephone and a big television screen. The overall cabin comfort was not compromised either and the car exterior is designed in a way that one cannot say it is a sports car. No spoiler or other extra elements are present that would allow the used BMW to accelerate faster. On the contrary, one can see a nice four-door family car. The only visible minus can be the size of luggage space. Because of the fact that the emphasis was on the overall car performance, its boot was a little bit compromised. The loading capacity is satisfactory, but for sure not in the same league as that of an estate type.
